This revision follows the request of the Holy See in 2002 to review and retranslate all the liturgical books. The guidelines provided in \u003cem\u003eLiturgiam Authenticam\u003c\/em\u003e ensure a translation that follows the original Latin text more closely so that its full meaning may be better appreciated. At the request of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, this new ritual book follows the content and structure of the \u003cem\u003eOrdo Confirmationis\u003c\/em\u003e.
